The 20th Century Larchmont Times has entered the 21st Century at last with the digitization of the microfilm made almost 30 years ago.
The Larchmont Historical Society, in collaboration with the Larchmont Public Library (and big thanks to the Friends of the Library for sharing the funding!), can now bring to the community a treasure trove of information about people, places, and events in Larchmont from the end of 1912 until 1955.
On Sunday, May 17th, join us for the public unveiling of riches contained in these images. LHS archivist Lynne Crowley will share some highlights of Larchmont life through the years as reflected in its very own newspaper and librarian Liam Hegarty will give tips on how to conduct a search of the material.
Speakers: Lynne Crowley and Liam Hegarty
Sunday, May 17th
Larchmont Village Center
Free and open to the public — refreshments will be served.
