Judy Preston, MS in Botany (Field Naturalist Program, UVM), MEM (Yale Forestry School), Master Gardener, Master Composter, NOFA-certified Organic Land Care practitioner, and CT Outreach Program Coordinator for the Long Island Sound Study (LISS) will discuss how our love affair with the American lawn is causing the Sound to choke on excess nitrogen. Come learn about the Sound and Sound Gardening practices that can help protect the waters and living marine resources of this nationally significant estuary that is an important economic and recreational asset for NY and CT residents.
